Longfellow National Historic Site, 105 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's home 1837-82; wedding present from his wife's father; built 1759, HQ for Gen George Washington July 1776-April 1777 Seige of Boston in American Revolutionary War; many fine old homes in this section of Brattle Street, including Lincoln Institute's offices at 113 Brattle St, literally next door; Longfellow House designated National Historic Landmark,1962, & placed on National Register of Historic Places, 1966 (66000049); it is also in Old Cambridge Historic District, National Register of Historic Places, 1983 (83000821)
