University Hall (1976 Replica of 1883 Original)

I visited the Ohio State campus November 1, 2015, with Ruth Ann (her first visit) and two of my three brothers an their wives (Jim and Claudia, Ted and Beth), my first time on campus in more that 25 years; besides walking around the Oval, went to two areas just off the Oval: (1) Wexner Center & Mershon Auditorium at the NE corner and (2) Mirror Lake at the SW corner. At the end of the afternoon, we stopped at Ohio Stadium (much expanded from my years on campus). Larger trees blocking views of some buildings along the Oval were among the noticeable changes. 1st University Hall completed 1883, housed classrooms, library, dorm, faculty housing, dining hall, & chapel; structurally unsound by late 1960s, torn down 1971, this replica completed 1976, with tower clock, entrance & colums salvaged from original; on N Oval at Neil Ave, N of Thompson Library; trees on Oval now very large, making it hard to see many buildings
