D. H. Day Dairy Barn & Offspring. This striking 116-foot dairy barn, part of the 400-acre D.H. Day Farm, is listed by the Society of Architectural Historians among the 50 Most Significant Structures in Michigan; role of the "baby barns" is not known to me. David Henry Day Farm buildings were built in the 1880s and 1890s. Day had 5,000 apple and cherry trees and also grew corn and hay to feed his 400 hogs and 200 Holsteins. The farm -- private, taxable property -- sits within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore park, part of the National Park Service. It is on the M-109 highway outside the hamlet of Glen Haven, and can be seen from certain points on the dunes, including a Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive overlook.
